Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MasterGrade (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

MasterGrade provides AI-powered card grading estimates, card identification, price lookups, and related tools for informational and pre-screening purposes. The Service is not an official grading service and does not issue grades on behalf of PSA, BGS, CGC, or any other grading company.

3. User Accounts

Some features of the Service require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Credits and Purchases

Credits purchased on MasterGrade are non-refundable once used or after 30 days from purchase, except as required by applicable law. Credit packages and Pro subscriptions are subject to the prices and terms displayed at the time of purchase.

Pro subscriptions renew automatically at the start of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date. Unused credits do not roll over after subscription cancellation unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
  • Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the Service without authorization
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the outputs of the Service without written permission

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, logos, text, graphics, and software, is owned by MasterGrade and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any images you upload to the Service.

Grading estimates generated by the Service are for personal informational use only. Do not represent AI-generated grades as official grading results from PSA, BGS, CGC, or any other grading company.

7. Grading Disclaimer & No Liability for Grades

THE GRADES, SCORES, ESTIMATES, AND CONDITION ASSESSMENTS PROVIDED BY MASTERGRADE ARE AI-GENERATED OPINIONS FOR INFORMATIONAL AND PRE-SCREENING PURPOSES ONLY. THEY ARE NOT OFFICIAL GRADES AND DO NOT REPRESENT THE OPINION OR EVALUATION OF ANY PROFESSIONAL GRADING COMPANY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC, OR ANY OTHER THIRD-PARTY GRADING SERVICE.

MasterGrade is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected to PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator), Beckett Grading Services (BGS), CGC (Certified Guaranty Company), or any other professional card grading company. All trademarks and company names are the property of their respective owners.

You acknowledge and agree that MasterGrade bears absolutely no responsibility or liability for:

  • Any grade, score, or estimate you receive through the Service, regardless of its accuracy or inaccuracy
  • Any grade you receive from any professional grading company (PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC, or otherwise) after using the Service as a pre-screening tool
  • Any difference between a MasterGrade estimate and an official grade from any professional grading company
  • Any financial loss, including loss of card value, submission fees, shipping costs, or any other expense incurred as a result of relying on or acting upon any grade, estimate, price, or recommendation provided by the Service
  • Any decision you make to buy, sell, hold, submit, or not submit any card for professional grading based on information from the Service
  • Any damage to or loss of cards during the professional grading submission process

By using MasterGrade, you expressly acknowledge that AI grading estimates are inherently imprecise, that professional grading is subjective and varies between graders and companies, and that no pre-screening tool — AI or otherwise — can guarantee the outcome of a professional grading submission. You use the Service entirely at your own risk.

8. General Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any estimate, price lookup, card identification, or other result provided by the Service. Price data is sourced from third-party marketplaces and may not reflect current market conditions.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MASTERGRADE, ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR LOSS OF CARD VALUE, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER SUCH DAMAGES WERE FORESEEABLE AND WHETHER OR NOT MASTERGRADE WAS ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

In no event shall MasterGrade’s total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to the Service exceed the amount you paid to MasterGrade in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty dollars ($50 USD), whichever is less.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please read it at mastergrade.ai/privacy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Affiliate Links & Commissions

Some links on MasterGrade are affiliate links. If you follow one and make a purchase, MasterGrade may earn a commission or site credit from that merchant at no additional cost to you. Our current affiliate partners include OpenThatPack (linked from the Pack Simulator), eBay, and Amazon.

Affiliate relationships never influence card grades, price estimates, pull-rate figures, or editorial content. We link only to merchants we would recommend regardless of compensation, and affiliate links are marked with the rel="sponsored" attribute so search engines and browser tools can identify them.

MasterGrade is not the seller in any affiliate transaction and is not responsible for the products, pricing, shipping, refunds, or customer service of the merchants we link to. Any purchase you make is governed by that merchant’s own terms.
