Pokémon Mayhem Continues? McDonald's Japan Cancels Next "ONE PIECE Card" Happy Meal Collaboration - 玩具人 TOY PEOPLE

BREAKING: McDonald's Japan has officially pulled the plug on its highly anticipated next ONE PIECE Card Happy Meal collaboration. Citing lessons learned from the recent "Pokémon Mayhem," this abrupt cancellation sends ripples through the collecting community, especially for those who remember the chaos surrounding previous Pokémon card promotions.

The Unfolding Story

The decision, first reported by 玩具人 TOY PEOPLE, comes after a period of intense scrutiny following previous McDonald's Happy Meal card promotions, particularly those involving Pokémon. These events often led to unprecedented demand, long queues, product shortages, and even safety concerns due to scalping and overwhelming crowds. It appears McDonald's Japan is taking a proactive stance, prioritizing customer safety and fair access over the immediate buzz of another card collaboration. The ONE PIECE Card Game has seen explosive growth globally, making any official merchandise, especially limited-edition promo cards, incredibly desirable.

What This Means for Collectors

This cancellation has immediate and long-term implications for One Piece card collectors and the broader TCG market.
